The Client Relations Manager is responsible for engaging the existing client community, nurturing relationships and connecting Alexander Group to new contacts. The role actively reaches out and schedules meetings with contacts by leveraging our intellectual property and leadership community (e.g., knowledge sharing events, roundtables and benchmarking surveys). This role works with our industry leaders to create openings, position the firm and nurture relationships.

Success requires creativity and diligence in building new relationships, understanding client needs, articulating Alexander Group solutions, maintaining a robust relationship development pipeline and being hungry to help close opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating interaction and engagement (quality conversations with senior executives) through customized outreach and marketing campaigns featuring Alexander Group consulting services, research studies and leadership events
  • Supporting the development and execution of outreach strategies to engage senior executives outside of our client community
  • Identifying opportunities to expand engagement with existing and new clients, including identifying prospects for new business opportunities and supporting account-specific development tactics in conjunction with industry practice leaders
  • Preparing thoughtful, substantive outreach messages tailored to specific matters and practice areas  
  • Conducting original research and producing corresponding narratives in support of Alexander Group capabilities and solutions to client needs
  • Fostering strong, meaningful relationships at all levels within your client community
  • Handling all client contact professionally and promptly, resulting in a high volume of activity
  • Achieving individual performance metrics including generating a consistent volume of quality conversations with target senior executives
  • Attending industry exhibitions, conferences, seminars and networking events as needed to support the engagement efforts of the industry practice leaders
  • Ensuring that all account information is accurately entered into the Salesforce CRM and all records are maintained
  • Managing workload and duties efficiently through effective use of time to ensure individual, team and firm goals are met 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 1-3 years of experience and a proven track record in business development, account management, or community engagement in business-to-business markets 
  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment is advantageous 
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; confident, articulate and professional with strong relationship-building ability 
  • Highly developed comprehension and listening skills to clearly understand client needs and credibly share relevant value propositions derived from Alexander Group capabilities 
  • Exceptional written communication skills in crafting professional, value-driven and persuasive emails 
  • Positive self-starter attitude, determination to succeed and commitment to teamwork  
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability 

Salary $75,000-80,000. Bonus eligible
